Key Stage Two Trip to Torquay Princess Theatre Royal to see ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Drea
On Thursday 23rd February, Key Stage Two experienced an opportunity of a lifetime when they went to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We took a coach and a minibus to Torquay for a fun filled afternoon. We sat in our seats (Class Endurance and Endeavour sat together and Class Invincible on their own)
We learned so much about performance and acting techniques. We noticed how important facial expressions are as they tell you all about how the character is feeling. We also learned how important it is to think about how to stand on stage, we could see everyone on stage because no one was blocking anyone out.
The actors were amazing at singing and speaking, this was because they spoke clearly, slowly and loudly so everyone could understand and hear them. They were all so confident and smiley on stage, you have to be enthusiastic. You can’t be shy, you have to leave all your worries behind you and be brave!
Finally, the most important things we learned at the theatre was firstly that teamwork is the key to everything. The actors had worked really hard together and supported each other. Secondly, we learned that when you put a lot of hard work into something, the results can be amazing!
Joseph was fantastic, we will be singing the songs for weeks!!! Thank you to our teacher’s for taking us.
